2012 J'ouvert extended unto 11:00am with revelers hitting the streets early Monday morning displaying the various forms of traditional mass where revelers had fun with Mud, Oil and the wearing of costumes that reflect the ills in society.
At approximately 8:40am the medical team sprang into action as two (2) incidents flocked into the Advanced Medical Post (AMP) during the Monday J'ouvert session as one (1) reveler received a serious laceration to the left-front-side of his head, he received nine (9) stiches and was later transfered to the Scarborough General Hospital. The second incident involved one reveler being hit by a bottle on the left hand, she was treated and discharged.
Roxborough in the far east of Tobago, was another venue for the real J'ouvert experience where there were no reported incidents.
The visibility of the protective services, with foot patrols and mobile drive-pass, reminded law breakers that they would be locked away if they had plans of mis-behave during the J'ouvert celebrations.
