Even one week before the annual Tobago Joint Carnival Command Post Operations, the Logistic Unit began detailed cleaning and assortment of all medical equipment and items needed to support this operation, ensuring full readiness of equipment and availability of supplies upon the request by medical staff as incidents are brought into the Medical Post.
I.T and other technical personnel manually checked and out-fitted the Mobile Command Unit and other trailers with the necessary technical fixtures to provide support to the Advanced Medical Post during the duration of this operation.
With the capacity to treat major injuries, the Advanced Medical Post (AMP) located (in front of the First Citizen Bank, Carrington Street, Scarborough) would continue to provide efficient Ambulance and Medical treatment to all injuries that are brought into the post. The efforts of the personnel comprising the response teams are frequently commended as this service has greatly reduced the excessive pile-up of emergency cases transferred for treatment to the Scarborough Regional Hospital during the carnival period.
