Two(2) relocated families received hampers donated by the (THA).

On Friday 23rd December, 2011- One day after the tragic landslide which caused two(2) families to be relocated after the pathway to their homes were destroyed, hampers donated by the Tobago House of Assemble (THA) to the worth of $650.00 were hand delivered by the Chief Secretary, the Honorable Orville London accompanied by the Director of TEMA- Mr. Allan Stewart and Staff.

Recovery Efforts:

• Owing to the magnitude of the landslide, both homes are currently inaccessible.
• Necessary engineering analysis is needed by the Department of Infrastructure and Public Utilities (DIPU) to make a determination of appropriate stability of the slope and to deem the area habitable.

• Social Services (conducting necessary counseling for affected members of both families).
• TEMA
• The Trinidad and Tobago Regiment
• The Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard
• Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)

Both families were met in good spirit as the team spent the period of each visit, assuring the family members with words of hope and trust in God to guide the future of their lives.
