TEMA’S Joint Command Operations 2012, headed by our Director Allan Stewart ran smoothly for the duration of the carnival festivities, with all of its components fully functional.

Carnival Tuesday began slowly in relation to incidents being brought into the Advanced Medical Post (AMP) with only one reveler treated for a minor injury.

TEMA Marine #1 was launched into the waters at the Scarborough Port for the first time on the 21st February, 2012 as this exercise was intended to fully test the functionality of the boat. The exercise was carried-out by a certified marine technician accompanied by TEMA logistic officers.

As the Carnival Celebrations in Scaborough  climaxed, the number of incidents to the Advanced Medical Post (AMP) intensified. On Monday 20th February, 2012 only three (3) incidents were recorded, but as the crowds in the streets thicken on Carnival Tuesday, violence began rearing its ugly head.

2012 J'ouvert extended unto 11:00am with revelers hitting the streets early Monday morning displaying the various forms of traditional mass where revelers had fun with Mud, Oil and the wearing of costumes that reflect the ills in society.

The sixth (6th) annual Carnival Joint Command Operations, 2012 has officially started and is in full swing. The operation impressively set up at the FCB Car-Park, comprise the Mobile Command Unit (trailer), Advanced Medical Post (AMP)- 12-bed medical facility) and Staging Area. Adequately staffed, the operations is being effectively run, headed by TEMA’s Director Mr. Allan Stewart and is partnered with the Trinidad and Tobago Medical Association (Tobago Branch), Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service, the Cadet Force and other volunteers.
