Applause have been extended to TEMA for the commissioning of its own New Fleet of Vehicles on the 3rd January, 2012.  The ceremony saw the commissioning of seven(7) new vehicles aquired by the Tobago House of Assembly at the fairfield Complex, Bacolet, Scarborough, Tobago.

On December 30th, 2011- all 'personal and household items' were completely destroyed when fire gutted a two(2)-bedroom structure at Piggot Street, Scarborough, Tobago.  The Division of Health and Social Services were contacted to visit, evaluate and provide adequate support for the persons affected.

On Friday 23rd December, 2011- One day after the tragic landslide which caused two(2) families to be relocated after the pathway to their homes were destroyed, hampers donated by the Tobago House of Assemble (THA) to the worth of $650.00 were hand delivered by the Chief Secretary, the Honorable Orville London accompanied by the Director of TEMA- Mr. Allan Stewart and Staff.

The entrance of the Arnos Vale Hotel at Arnos Vale road, Plymouth became partially blocked on 23/12/2011, after a landslide left a tree hanging over the pathway, supported only by utility lines.  

Emergency Teams were called upon to respond to an incident at Coffee Gully, Des vignes road on the 22nd December 2011, where a huge landslide brought down two(2) T&TEC poles with live wires at the front of a dwelling house blocking off access to the house.

A pile of stones used as a pathway across a ravine at Local Road, Delaford has been washed away since the last Severe Rainfall on the 12-6-2011, leaving five(5) families without vehicular access to their homes.   

Just before 7:30am on 20th December, 2011, Vehicular traffic halted when a lindslide of a steep hillside blocked off the roadway at Castara road, Castara, Tobago. CERT technicians contacted the Department of Infrastructure and Public Utilities (DIPU) which responded by sending equipment to the incident scene to begin clearance of the roadway.   There were no casualties related to this
